It’s heating up and we’re EMBRACING the season changing with all the smoothie bowls and colorful dishes you could ever imagine. We have so many gorgeous and nourishing recipes coming to the blog but in the meantime, we’re sharing one of our favorite vibrant smoothie bowls. This pitaya strawberry smoothie bowl is the perfect welcome summer dish on a mid-week day.
Summer right around the corner also means its strawberry season! Fruit bowls are best enjoyed in the sunshine, or after an afternoon cycle sesh (shouts out to CycleBar in Culver City - go if you haven’t yet!), or as morning wake-up juice. We’ve also added our favorite Pitaya Plus Smoothie Packet to this beauty for some extra vitamins and nutrients. These packets are made with organic pitaya (also known as dragon fruit) and are known for there bright pink color. Pitaya is high in fiber and iron, a rich source of antioxidants, and is a powerful source of vitamin C; combined with our Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend and your stopping any sickness from ever entering your sacred body temple. Plus it tastes like frozen yogurt heaven! YUM!
Gather This:
1 banana
1 cup frozen mango chunks
1 cup organic or frozen strawberries
1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp Berry Bliss Superfood + Protein Blend
1 tsp Ancient Nutrition Collagen
Ice (if desired)
Toppings: strawberries, mint, granola, coconut flakes
Do This:
Blend all ingredients in a high-power blend and pour into your favorite bowl. Top with strawberries, granola, coconut flakes and a sprig of mint then ENJOY!
