Pumpkin Spice Browned Butter Frosting
We love the holidays around here at Philosophie HQ because that means it’s baking season! More of us are staying in as the weather turns cooler which gives us more time to enjoy our favorite baked goods and sweets but, of course, with a Philosophie twist.
This simple, browned butter frosting is a nutty, tasty way to sweeten up all your favorite autumn goods. We added our seasonal Fall Vibes Pumpkin Pie Superfood Blend loaded with mood-balancing, healing adaptogens and antioxidant-rich superfoods with a rich fall flavor making this frosting the perfect topping for all your cakes, cookies, and baked goods.
This frosting is also made with maple syrup giving it a rich flavor while adding sweetness and warming fall flavors and spices. We can’t wait for you to try it!
Gather This:
2 sticks (1 cup) raw organic butter, room temperature
3 oz. vegan cream cheese
2 cups monk fruit
⅓ cup real maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp Fall Vibes
Do This:
Add 1 stick butter to a skillet, set over medium heat. Allow the butter to brown lightly, about 2-3 minutes. Stir often. Remove from heat and transfer the butter to a mixing bowl, let cool until it's at room temperature.
Add the remaining stick of room temperature butter and the cream cheese to the bowl. Then add the powdered sugar and maple syrup. Beat together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and Fall Vibes and beat until combined. If the frosting feels too loose, add more Fall Vibes to thicken.
Enjoy!
