Immune-Boosting Homemade Elderberry Syrup-Philosophie

Immune-Boosting Homemade Elderberry Syrup

It’s that time of year when we begin to prioritize supporting our immune systems, except this year when it’s felt like the year-around season of immune system supplements and more! We’re sharing this incredibly simple and truly healing superfood elderberry syrup recipe for the fall and winter season.

Elderberry is a potent fruit full of health benefits including fighting and protecting against bacterial infections, reduces symptoms and duration of a cold or flu, anti-inflammatory properties, and extremely high in antioxidants. The current elderberry supplements and vitamins on the market tend to be extremely pricy for limited benefits. This simple syrup offers all the benefits of taking elderberry supplements but is supercharged with our Berry Bee Honey and other nutritional properties.

Our superfood honey already has a ton of healing and powerful antibacterial properties to help fight off any sickness or allergy, but combined with our Berry Bliss blend loaded with camu-camu, one of the world’s most abundant source of vitamin C, and you’re saying goodbye to any sickness before it can even get to you!

This syrup created by Philosophie Babe, Eva (@evalshipp) is s yummy on oatmeal, pancakes, toast, in smoothies, or by itself! It perfectly balances herbal tea and coats the throat to protect and prevent sore throats & coughs.

Gather This:

1 cup dried elderberries

4-6 cups water

1 cinnamon stick

A big chunk of ginger

½ - ¾ cup Berry Bee Honey

Do This:

Add all of this into an instant pot for 20 minutes then strain into a glass jar and add the Berry Bee Honey once it’s slightly cool. Enjoy!
