Cacao Magic Almond Butter
Good Morning! How's everyone doing? It's pretty hectic over here at the Jaffe Home + I've been relishing the few quiet moments I get in between work events/filming/photos/meetings while the kids are at school. Did I tell you I'm only sending them to school part time, 3 days a week? It's been an adjustment, I have a lot less time to myself, but I know how quickly these years are going to pass with my babies + I don't wanna miss a beat. These ages are so magical! (2 + 4)
I've been wanting to share these recipes for awhile. They are so simple + it's so much more fun to make your own nut butters! We've been on a nut butter streak because we add all the philosophie superfoods to make it more nutrient dense and very little sweetener. Usually store bought nut butters are filled with yucky sweeteners and gross oils. We also mix nuts and seeds! You can use whatever nuts or seeds you want with the below recipe. You can add hemp seeds or even at the end, fold in chocolate chips, cacao nibs, goji berries or raisins! Have fun, be creative + share your pics with us on social media by tagging @philosophielove!
in a food processor or blendtec twister jar, add the following:
- 3 T cacao magic
- 1/2 C almonds
- 1 pinch pink sea salt
- 1 T coconut oil
- 1 T cacao magic or green dream honey
if too chunky, add a tad more coconut oil. scrape down the sides (if using food processor) and keep mixing. It can sometimes take up to 10 minutes to get the consistency you desire. Stick with it :)
