Mom Hacks // LA Favs

I love being a mama to Kai and Leo and showing them what this life has to offer. It’s everything to me. Soon (very soon!) I’ll be bringing baby girl into this world and will showing her all the magic of this world. I’m so very excited and feel blessed beyond measure to be a mama. It’s tough, but there’s nothing like it.

You don’t decide to bring another little soul into this world without a couple of hacks and local favorites to help keep you sane. Without a partner in Adi, my super amazing support system, and a city full of everything I could ever imagine then Kai and Leo wouldn’t be the boys they are today. They wouldn’t have been raised on the values of support, generosity, balance and LOVE. Here are some of my favorite tricks for navigating life as a mom in Los Angeles, while still holding on to your own authentic you.

Family time is sacred and the simple act of being together is a ritual. Most weekday mornings we have a dance party before I send the boys off to school. On weekends, we have lazy Saturday mornings together filled with endless snuggles and superfood waffles galore. We go on staycations and put our phones away an hour before bed so we can read books or sing and do our favorite night rituals. We go to the beach or go on hikes together. We create pure magic together.

I’ve learned after years and years on how to balance a company and a family. I’ve learned the power of saying “no” to things that don’t fill me all the way up. I’ve learned the sacred power of family time and more importantly, I’ve learned how to love and show up to everything I do with my boys completely.

I’ve navigated my life as a mama in LA and have picked up my favorite hacks and go-tos along the way:

Kango Car + Babysitting Service: This has been a lifesaver! All the services are 100% trustworthy and credible. It’s been amazing to help juggle casting calls, school pick up/drop off, and all their activities. Use the code “Sophie20” for $20 off a ride!

SoulPlay Yoga Studio: I’ve mentioned this spot on the blog before and we seriously love it! The boys have learned so much in their classes with Shauna.

Equinox Kids Club: This isn’t your normal kids club. The boys really love coming here and you can leave them for up to 2 hours while you get in a quick workout. There’s games, toys, TV and other kids for play. It’s perfect!

Cooking Classes w/ the Kids: I took Kai to Plantlab Culinary for a weekend course and it was so great! Kai is amazing in the kitchen and the chef was very conscientious of all different levels of the group.
