How I’m Manifesting My Dream Home
I get a lot of questions about manifestation and how to work through it. I don’t believe there’s a step-by-step process to it but while I’m DEEP in it I decided to share the experience, what I’m feeling, and all that’s been going into MANIFESTING my dream home.
Manifestations are the sum of our intentions and aspirations coming into fruition. Manifestations identify goals, aspirations and desires, and are created through pure intention. I’m constantly in awe of the magic of the whole thing and the ability to step outside your ego. When you begin calling out your manifestations into the universe it’s important to be clear on your intentions. You want to make sure you have a clear and concise vision. If you keep flip-flopping on your dream desire the universe won’t know what you’re trying to bring into reality.
For manifesting my dream home, I had a very specific vision: 5 bedrooms, a good-sized backyard, a gorgeous kitchen for all my filming and recipe creations, private bedroom for our live-in au pair, room for both Adi and I to work, space for a pool and enough space to entertain and host small events.
With my intention clear and my vision set, it was time to put everything into action and I’m beyond grateful Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties entered my life to help the process truly unfold.
Initial meeting with our broker
Berkshire Hathaway has BLOWN ME AWAY with their professionalism and seamlessness, right from our very first meeting with our broker Yana (@yahahomesla) who is this super sweet and crazy smart human that makes house hunting a joy. Yana and her team were so great at curating the houses we went to and she quickly was able to adapt to us and our lifestyle which is just a tad on the crazy side.
Home hunting and viewings
We’ve gone on several showings with Yana and oftentimes they are all over the place and have to fit between a VERY tight time range. She makes sure to thoughtfully lay out the tours to work in our time frame. Everything has been organized and made sense from a point to point map view. It means so much us to us as we have businesses to run and kiddos + a baby to care for. She always makes sure we end up near our home after showings and adjusts the showings to our specific needs and desires.
All the homes we’ve been shown have been perfect for OUR family. We saw one home that had a wing with 3 bedrooms and a shared bathroom off to one side of the house (perfect for our 3 kiddos) and the master wing was on a different side but still close enough. It also had guest quarters on the outside with a separate entrance (we always have friends and family, and currently our au pair staying with us). She kept in mind that we worked from home and this home had little areas we could insulate for sound for the podcast, a lighted kitchen, spacious rooms for photos and video and, of course, a backyard.
Yana learned quickly what we did and didn’t like, so much so that she adapted in the moment if she realized we wouldn’t like something. We felt like we were really heard on all our desires for a dream home - bringing my manifestation further into reality. It’s been so easy to connect with Yana, whether over text or call, and she continues to make herself readily available to us and always carries a kind, thoughtful demeanor.
Where we’re at now
Originally I wanted a place by this spring but as I’ve learned you have to gracefully move through phases of expansion. Manifestations are the result of aligning with the universe and its divine timing. Our hunt has slowed a bit as we get our financials together for a preapproval. It’s a bit complicated since both Adi and I work for ourselves but Berkshire Hathaway has helped us connect to the right resources to get it all straightened out. The MINUTE that we are all set we know Yana will be ready to jump back in and find the house of our dreams.
The stress + anxiety that goes in a home hunt has been taken off drastically by working with Berkshire Hathaway HomeService California Properties. We’re confident that there will never EVER be a shortage of homes in Los Angeles so I'm not worried. We will find the PERFECT house for our family, possibly brand new or possibly with some love and work needed. No matter the case I know it’ll be just right for our little family.
