Heart of the Week: Hutch Nursery-Philosophie

Heart of the Week: Hutch Nursery

Baby girl has officially arrived! It's been so beyond amazing to bring her home and to our worldI The nursery is where she’ll sleep, play, and absorb the universe around her for the first years of her life. It’s important to make sure the space meets all of her needs and nurtures her so she can grow to be as beautiful and wonderful as her big brothers.

To create this space, I used virtual decorating platform Hutch. It let me visualize the nursery to scale before I committed to an aesthetic. I could add different cribs, rugs, lamps, curtains, and even throw pillows that I want to see in the room. It’s so addicting! You can design any room you want down to the smallest detail and purchase the whole set once you’ve had your vision.

I started with the crib, of course, since babies need lots of sleepy time. When I saw the Lolly 3-in-1 Convertible Crib with Toddler Bed Conversion Kit I knew I had to have it. It’s a flexible crib that can convert into a toddler bed for when the little lady gets bigger. To that, I added this gorgeous Baby Quilt that looks so soft I thought I could feel it (that’s how good Hutch’s virtual decorator is!) with a fitted Linen Crib Sheet. I also love my Babyletto mattress. I love Babyletto because of their commitment to fully-recycled, non-toxic, eco-friendly mattress products that keep babies cozy and safe.

This 3-Drawer Changer Dresser was an absolute must after I saw how well it fit next to the crib. That’s another amazing thing about Hutch – it lets you choose a color scheme and helps you match all your additions to it. After the dresser, this Braided Jute Pouf caught my eye. I visualized it in the tool and immediately saw all the possibilities: a side table, a footrest, a stool for my boys when they want to play with their sister – it could be anything.

Baby girl’s nursery was almost done at this point, but it needed a few loving touches. Hutch has this stunning Naomi flower macramé that makes for a perfect backdrop. I also added a Jute and Woven Chindi Safara Area Rug to match the pouf and give my girl a nice place to sit in outside her crib. Finally, I threw in the cutest framed print – a marshmallow cactus in bloom! I can’t wait for the newest Jaffe baby to see what I’ve made for her.
