Heart of the Week: Holiday Traditions

I love to create magic together with the boys and my husband. Over the years, we’ve celebrated traditions passed down from my family and from Adi’s family. We celebrate Hanukkah and we also put a tree up.

This year, we started Elf on the Shelf and the boys LOVE it. It brings them so much to find the Elf in different places around the house. I love how it teaches them to do their best to be a good person in a fun light-hearted way. The Elf even joined us on our mini-cation to the Four Seasons for their “Let It Snow” event (more details here).

We also bake together. My favorite holiday tradition! We bake a lot: paleo blueberry muffins, chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin paleo cookies, to name a few. All the yum and each used with Philosophie Superfoods. I love showing Kai and Leo how to create magic in the kitchen. So many memories are centered around food: cooking, baking, and sharing a meal together. I take pride in the fact that my family treasures the beauty in food. I can see how much Kai and Leo have grown from the way they handle themselves in the kitchen.

This is a season of loving and giving. I install in my boys the intention of meaningful gifting. How special it is to give a present that means something to you and something to the person you love. Or that a wellness gift has lasting qualities than the tchotchkes off a shelf. It’s why I’ve always been a supporter of small businesses and believe our Philosophie Coconut Butters and Bee Honeys make the perfect stocking stuffer. We have a holiday discount going on NOW with the code: HolidayLove for 10% off gift cards.

Remember the reason for this magical season. Take the time in this new moon phase to reconnect with simple joys and celebrate your friends + family.

How do you and your family celebrate the season? I would love to hear your own holiday traditions on my Facebook. Use #PhilosophieLove or #MyPhilosophie
