Choosing to Stop “Empty Calorie” Toys

I’m so excited to be a new mama again in an age where there are so many updated tools that make parenting easier and designed just for me and my babe. You’ve heard me rant and rave about products I’m loving and brands I’m behind 100% because of what they’re doing for us moms.

As an influencer, it’s often easy to get distracted behind a screen. It's so much easier to pass this on to your kids. As a mom, I try my best to fuel my little babes with creative energy and challenge their thinking constantly. In fact, in our home, it’s a rule that boys only of one hour a day of screen time. It can still get hard to stay away from it all - the gadgets, handheld games, videos - it’s all digital. When it comes to how I’m choosing to raise my boys and Noa, I want to bring her up in the best environment possible and that means choosing the best toys for her.

If you constantly pay attention to what you’re feeding your little babes and giving them all the nutrients their little bodies need then doesn’t it only make sense that you give them toys that will fuel them intelligently? Right now, I’m currently obsessed with Lovevery. They make it a mission to help moms bring an end to “empty calorie” choices when it comes to toys for your kid and instead hand selecting and creating toys that stimulate them in the right ways at the right stage to help them grow.

You all know how in love I am with small businesses and the founder of Lovevery, Jessica Rolph is a true inspiration. She’s the creator of Happy Family and continues to reinvent the toy industry. I truly love all she does.

It’s so important to constantly let my kids explore all their feelings and really dig deep into that space of play. This brand is so wonderful because not only are all their products made with 100% organic cotton and baby-safe plastics but there’s a new play kit every month. Currently, Noa is obsessed with the play gym, she’ll stay under it entranced for hours.

The first few stages of a babe’s life are so important. As a mom, we need to do our best to give them all they need to fully develop and enrich their minds. That’s why I continue to get behind brands like Lovevery who make it their mission to provide playtime with a purpose. You never know how much the little things count until you watch them grow every day and see the beautiful world they imagine. It’s truly something else and I’m blessed every day that I’m allowed to witness such pure magic and experience this crazy life with them.
