How to Practice the Ancient Ayurvedic Tradition of Oil Pulling

Whether you're looking to switch to all natural personal care products this year or integrate a new practice into your wellness routine, oil pulling is a super simple technique that promotes a beautiful, healthy mouth.

The Ayurvedic tradition has not only been used for thousands of years for teeth and gum hygiene, but has also been said to remove toxins from the body. Regardless of whether or not this is the case, coconut oil definitely makes for an excellent, natural mouthwash that contains vitamin E and possesses antibacterial and antifungal properties.

So in the mornings, about two to three times a week, I'll swish a couple tablespoons of oil in my mouth for as LONG AS I CAN. But if you get bored during all that sitting and swishing, you can spend the time thinking on what you accomplish in the day ahead or reflect on all that you are grateful for. It's time well spent, and your mouth will thank you for it :)
