Recap: Well + Good Bicoastal Event

Recap: Well + Good Bicoastal Event

Last Saturday in Santa Monica, you may have spied a hundred or so yoga-pant-clad women also adorned in race bibs walking from workout venue to workout venue. They were all celebrating the West Coast half of Well+Good's Bicoastal Biathlon, presented by Athleta. (New York City's Biathlon was the weekend prior.)

At this mega Well+Good Los Angeles fitness event, more than 100 super fit "biathletes" participated in back-to-back boutique fitness mashups. Team Sculpt and Flow hit Pure Barre followed by sweat sesh at Hot 8 Yoga and Team Burn and Balance enjoyed a 90-minute Maha Burn class followed by Unplug Meditation.

After the workouts, everyone headed to the healthy after-party at the Athleta Santa Monica store for much-needed rejuvenation, which included delish Moon Juice green juice + replenishing sesame mylk, vegan bites and "sushi" from M Cafe, beauty touch-ups from W3LL PEOPLE, super-pretty braids from Glamsquad, an epic raffle, and ridiculously amazing goody bags loaded with SpaRitual nail polish, Purely Elizabeth granola, Philosophie Superfood Powders (YAY!), and more.

The best part? The events collectively raised more than $5,000 for Girls on the Run, a non-profit mentoring organization that uses a 5K-training program as a basis to inspire young girls to be healthy and self-confident

The Maha Burn session was the largest with almost 75 biathletes getting their "flowage" on, to quote Burn's founder Ryan Orrico, who taught this class. (I'm the pink shirt with braid + Tricia is next to me!)

I honestly haven't taken a full 90 min yoga class in a VERY long time... and followed by the 30 min of meditation, I left feeling melty, balanced + so incredibly relaxed!

with the amazing Amanda from The Body Book + my e-book cowriterTricia, from Your Joyologist.

I'm really looking forward to the next Well + Good event! Would you come if they did another in LA? What did you do that inspired you last weekend?
