Heart of the Week: Local Juicery + Super Green Smoothie Recipe
I am SO enamored with Local Juicery, a beautiful Arizonan cold-pressed juice bar and organic kitchen that serves up sweet, green, and root juices, smoothies + shakes, mylks + cold brew, entrees made with local, in-season ingredients, and yummy treats!
They make everything fresh and use only the most vibrant fruits + veggies
—I have my heart set on trying the raw vegan cheesecake, the avocado cacao pudding, and their whimsical “What Fairies Drink” smoothie.
If you’re lucky enough to live near Sedona, Arizona, you can order up a nourishing treat or meal, and catch some sun in their blossom-filled patio garden.
I asked Founder Summer Sanders what inspired her to open Local Juicery, and she says that it came from her "love of amazingly delicious food that is healthy, beautiful, and nurturing to the mind, body, and spirit."
"As a health coach," she says, "I've found that many people's biggest fear with switching to a healthy plant-based diet is the lack of delicious food. That could be further from the truth! I wanted to share decadent, nutritious superfoods with people and help them eat a diet that is not only exciting and tasty, but truly amazing for their entire body."
.
With Local, she is definitely doing just that!
Summer kindly shared her Super Green Smoothie recipe that features our very own Green Dream! This luscious smoothie is packed with protein, potassium, heart-healthy fats, and vitamins + minerals!
